figs-engineering-rear-knuckle-lower-rear-press-in-spherical-bearing
Figs Engineering REAR KNUCKLE LOWER REAR PRESS-IN SPHERICAL BEARING

Derived from our very popular rear knuckle replacement for the IS300 and Gen GS we have made these based on demand from customers experiencing the same issues on the newer IS and GS platforms. A press-in replacement for the rear knuckle where the lower control arm mounts, this bearing is often mistaken for a bushing due to its rubber boots. Our replacements are direct fit and fairly easy to install.

While the stock bearing has rubber boots, these feature a Teflon lined Precision 3-peice spherical bearing for highest strength and long term use on the track or dual purpose vehicle. We have tested these bearings in track duty so you know you are getting the highest quality solution. The bearing is self-cleaning and self-lubricating so boots will not trap in contamination.

Set includes 2-Bearings in bearing cups with retainer clips and stainless High-misalignment spacers to replace BOTH sides.

A bearing service tool (large C clamp) with cups for both sides is suggested since the bearing will need to over travel to be centered in the knuckle. We are working on a tutorial and will also offer special press fit tools to make this job easier. The alternative is to replace the entire knuckle so why not upgrade.

Install:

Remove old bearing via any means possible. A heavy bearing service tool is suggested such as the SPC ball joint press tool we offer.

Press in bearing cup/bearing assembly*, these are directional and press in from the back. The flange will bottom into the aluminum knuckle.

*NOTE only press on the outer cup section, never the bearing center. For easier installation freeze the bearing and heat the knuckle slightly with a heat gun or torch.

Install stainless steel misalignment spacers and mount the LCA.

Inspect to make sure there is no binding in the bearing motion. If low speed stiction is present, lubricate the bearing with a DRY FILM Teflon spray.

You done!

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0524/4872/3129/files/RearLCA_7b2d8dda-b452-48fa-a8ba-0817d34e9fa8.png?v=1779498480
https://www.go-parts.com.au/products/figs-engineering-rear-knuckle-lower-rear-press-in-spherical-bearing
Go!
